Thanks hun, I don't do ill, have never had even a day off work apart from when my mum passed away.

Monday will be the start of week 4 having it in some form and week 2 of breathing problems. Doctor says my chest sounds clear (or did when I saw her Monday just gone) when she listens with the stethscope but the wheezing is coming from somewhere. Chest has also felt very 'heavy' last few days like there is a breeze block in it. Made the mistake of popping with DH to see MIL tomorrow - I was hoping to show him how well I was and ready for work - and we had to leave after about 20 mins as I had a coughing fit and then breathing starts. She saw enough of that with her late husband.:(

I just want to get on with things and am really upset about work tomorrow but don't want to mess them about going in and then being sent home again.

:( Im sure work know that you're genuinely ill. I do know what you mean though about felling like you're letting people down. Especially in your job....shows what a good teacher you are :)

But you can't help it and you need to get yourself sorted and well again

Thank you for this, I got the last 3 bags hidden right at the back of the shelf in my local store.

My children are always baking and snacking on dried fruit so they will come in really handy.

They have a small bowl each now, calling them Greek Sweets! :D

I bought 6 bags - 2 for me, 2 for sister and 2 for daughter and left about 10 bags at Bridge of Dee shop.:)

I know exactly how you feel about letting everyone down - when I was teaching felt just the same and often went in very ill, eventually was forced to stay off by the Borough Medical Officer who signed me off after the Head sent me to see him, so had no choice.
Then wasn't allowed to return as would not sign me back on as fit and was forced to take early retirement due to ill-health at 43. That was back in 2000.
So look after yourself and get better before going back

Sorry for the moan, just feeling a bit down today - I have the never ending chest infection too, since before Christmas, have been told it will just eventually go.

Lol, sounds like we have the same doctor;)

:( Id been moaning too if I'd had something that was hanging around so long. I had pleurisy before Christmas and it floored me, but luckily it pretty much eased off within 2 weeks. You need a hug as well :A

Good thinking RN I was the same plenty of shampoo and I just take an angle grinder to DW when she is needing shearing ;)
Winces now and again but one disc has been good for 20+ years ;)

Try putting dw in a meat grinder as that works better;):D

I would suggest anyone with chest infections go to their doctor PDQ (yes I know you have FloFlo).

Somehow I ended up with pneumonia and got a right telling off by my doctor for not going sooner (would like to see him get an appointment within a week! Set my DD onto the receptionist as I had no energy to argue, she got my an appointment the same day thank god, else I would have ended up in hospital).
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Have text a friend/colleague, she's usually incredibly supportive so hope she can put my mind at rest about how it is going in school.
