Persuaded OH to go look at some dogs tomorrow at a rescue centre, I hope he doesnt back down, kids and I are really looking forward to it. I think there just may be a couple of Tesco stores on tthe way aswell, as I am getting so jealous of all these 1p/4p finds.
How lovely, I hope a lovely little doggie catches your eye and melts your OH's heart Sarahdol75 :jBootsalebargains wrote: »I never realised how unfit I was. Waiting by the school for daughter an old English sheepdog ran past, I tried to call to it but it ran off. After getting back home I found it in my garden so got oh and dd into the house and got a lead and some treats but again it ran off. I followed it for about 3 miles up a busy main road cos it kept running into the traffic, every time I got anywhere near it ran. Finally got to it my going on my hands and knees in the road and crawling to it. Had a collar but no tag so I thought I'll walk it round see if anyone recognises him. After an hour finally found someone who knew him and gave me an address.
So now I am very out of breath and tired but at least he's home (a salesman had left the gate open)
What a lovely story, similar to what I did once, chasing round the streets after a stray dog, over busy roads, etc but in my case the dog escaped capture. 3Dogs hope you find the plant you are looking for to put in your garden,it would be lovely to be able to plant it for your Alan :Aon July 3rd his 1st anniversary.Thinks like this are so special and I can so relate to where you are coming from.I often think of you ,take care Nannylala x
Logie hope you will start feeling a little better soon,Chemo is not kind to the body and when Auntielala used to feel dreadful the mac nurse used to tell her to think of it as liquid gold, there to help rather than hinder but easier said than done.0 -
Logie - :A keep on in there. Remember chemo stimulates a type of menopause so night sweat could just be one of those - exhausting tho aren't they? Will keep my fingers crossed its one of these and not an infection. Ban a certain Alicia Keys record and watch 'Bedtime Stories' - funny him in the car and car radio. Hugs to you and family.
Thanks Morgy, I'm oddly hoping it's the menopause too
When I last saw Consultant and discussed it with him he basically said either the lymphoma is growing despite chemo, or as you say, it's the chemo causing the menopause. As we were pretty close to the end of treatment and the next planned scan he didn't want to delay chemo to slot in an extra scan. I've been putting it to the back of my mind but struggle in the middle of the night
Anyway, have managed to distract myself with Gardener's World and Candy Crush:D
The boys will be awake in half an hour or so. Just enough time for another cuppa in peace♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -
Morning everyone. Looks like a lovely day outside.0

Hey all,
Posted earlier then promptly fell asleepHad help yesterday but despite my best efforts not much of a rest and breathlessness getting me down. Inhaler not really helping so think it's the anaemia kicking in again. Will find out on Monday when I go for more bloods.
Mildred, you hit the nail on the headIt's been one of those days where only Mummy is good enough. Sis put DS1 up for his nap, he just chatted to his toys in bed so after an hour and a half she got him up. He then climbed only me for a cuddle and fell asleep at something daft like 4pm  Cue one very grumpy boy at tea time and far too awake at bedtime.
Think he's just become a bit unsettled, by first my disappearing for 5 days and then the constant visitors to helpHopefully, as DH has the weekend off :j he'll improve with a bit of consistency.
Anyway, am now awake at stupid o'clock after having a night sweat and waking up drenched. Trying not to read too much into it. Will have to wait until scan for any definitive answers :(Can't lay upstairs in bed as brain goes into overthinking mode. So have got changed and come downstairs for a cuppa and catch up.
You sensible people are all asleep I guessso will catch up on some of the programmes I intended to watch on iplayer
!Morning Logie Are you still up,hope you are feeling better, this last round of chemo has been hellish for you .
let's be positive and hope for a better day today,I am not usually up so early but my girl cat wasn't in her usual place and I thought she may have got out last night and its frosty here so went to look for her, found her downstairs ,so made a cuppa then saw you were on here and wondered if you needed company .0 -

Thanks Nannylala,
Should be all upwards from here now the chemo is finished, I guess I'm just a bit impatientIf it's done it's job it'll all be worth feeling rotten for anyway
Hope you have a fantastic weekend awayI love York. Last went there with DH for our first wedding anniversary but would be nice to take the boys there too. I know DS1 would love the railway museum. Something else for our 'to do' list

Morning ellie, i'm still upI don't feel too bad now thanks. Am cosied up under the blanket on the sofa at the minute just having a rest. Suppose I should open curtains etc but might just wait for boys to get up first and make the most of the peace until then
