Not at all - just relating how long ago it was to fellow ex civil servants.
I know a lot of non-Brits who are very good at what they do.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

It read to me that way, too, but everyone's entitled to their opinion and I guess that's what it was as it contained no evidence to show that more mistakes are made now than there ever was. I guess the statement could be seen to be a time stamp just poorly worded.
This whole forum is based on experience and opinion as no one ever really cites a proven peer-reviewed article that they got their source data from - there'd be no fun then! :rotfl:

I was a civil servant way back when you had to be British to get in, and the thought of making this sort of mistake in any branch of the civil service was unthinkable. They so obviously employ the wrong staff today.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Afternoon everyone, had to skip quite a bit due to missing so much this weekend. We had a childrens party we attended which was chaotic and crazy, and my children had the best nights sleep ever afterwards.
Back to school today, play group and admin to get through.. argh!! so not even time for bargain hunting.
It was advertised on 10 ways that childrens snacking fruit was selling for 10p a large packet at Sainsbees (Mixed dried fruits) but I couldnt find any in my local. I did notice that al the 10p brownie mix was all gone, and there were other cooking bits reduced to clear too.
I also noticed that the staff at the SS tills have started to tear up the coupons, this has been accross a couple of days as I go in hunting once a day. I asked the member of staff manning the tills why they were all torn up, and she said they were tied to nectar cards and couldnt be used by other people. I told her I could use my mums coupons with no problem and she just stated at me.
I picked up one, and cellotaped it myself! £2 off £20 shop too!!
So im going to go back over tonight to see if all the staff are doing it, or just her.Wishing you all good luck!

Afternoon
Well have seen Dr who works on this ward and he is quite pleased with me. Obs all normal and no obvious infection now
I have developed a massive cold sore so he's considering adding an antiviral to my list of meds. No mention of home thoughInstead he suggested transferring me to oncology ward.
Am making the most of my phone and internet access now before I move.
Glad your DS made it safe and sound fc
