He will be getting a similar complaint from me as well ! Apart from several 'P off we don't give a monkeys' emails from CS, the latest one implies that I've been getting false PP's in the past, I shouldn't have got them and they are 'escalating' the matter ! Nothing like making the customer take the blame for their carpy system. I wonder why the Tesco system fails so often and they have had to make numerous changes when Sainsbury and Asda get it so right (apart from when MSM muddles the prices). The Asda APG system has been going well for years and the glitch last year was down to MSM not ASDA. Tesco would do well to learn from them.

Ive been looking for a new car, because I am bored of he one I am using, but perhaps I am doing this all wrong. Watching a video, perhaps I need another bike, miss the buzz from that acceleration! (too sensible for that, oh, am I?)

    Oh, I love motor bikes!
Last time I was on a proper one I was 8 months pregnant with DS :D I slipped on black ice going to work and banned from going on it again :(. Then DH bought me a scooter, not the same though miss my bike.

Just spoke to Tesco cs re my PP yesterday. He said it compares the whole basket not individual items. I told him the T showed on Sainsburys website at £1.74 yesterday and was found to be N/A on my receipt .He just basically said too bad if it does not compare at the time then that's it. I told him it is false advertising and i will be writing in to CEO with my screen shots of the item in question.
    Useless!

It is not "too bad" - it is plain wrong and T is aware of the problem. Sainsbury and Morrisons are making formal complaints to the ASA and I think the new PP is under investigation by them - one of the main complaints being that so many items from competitors come back as N/A. Write in and mention that you are not only disappointed by the lack of meaningful comparisons but also concerned about the CS staff flippant response to a genuine and well-founded complaint about one of their advertising campaigns. Good luck.

It also appears to me that T's system doesn't adjust for weight differences in comparable products but merely matches the competitor's charged price even though you would have got up to 10% more product if you shopped at the rival.

"You've saved £x today by shopping at X". No I haven't - if I'd have therefore bought the same comparable items at a rival, Sada, I would have saved 10% off your amount if I then made a claim via the APG (the voucher back then going towards my next shop in that store that I would have made anyway as I shop there anyway).

As I've said before, I think I could find at least 16 different ways in which, potentially, "you could lose out" by shopping with T. However I've decided not to get into posting the list of ways here, as I don't want to clutter this forum up with a set of looooonnng posts:rotfl: from me.

JEL, you Irish birds have such a way with words. I've never known the English language sound so interesting..:rotfl:

Is it just you and Frenchie that talk so bluntly or is it just all Paddy females in general??:):)

I think the female Northern Irish attitude is passed from mother to daughter so much so that it is now an integral part of their being.
Wobetide you to cross said Northern Irish women, even more so to do or say anything against their family! The only one allowed to do that is her, she may not be on speaking terms with some family but that never gives you the option to bad mouth them in her presence :D

I've met quite a few people who have crossed the invisible line and paid for it but so long as you abide by the unwritten rules she'll be your best friend and welcome you in :rotfl:
Many of these women just wants to mother every male she thinks needs it, there are many I know who think a man can't cope by himself so they make it their mission to mother them and do everything for them so they can't cope on heir own. Not too bad you would think but that then gives them he right in their eyes to interfere in every aspect of your life! Quite funny in some respects but not if you're the poor guy who wants to get away from the woman's clutches.
My aunt is one of these sorts and now has about a dozen adopted sons who she can call on to check up on them but also for her to ask to do things like wallpaper and put tiles up for her but she's not a bad as some.
