Its vile what are people thinking????

About 3 weeks ago someone down the road from me was selling weimaraner (sp)bread with staffordshire bull terrier pups, to me a dog is a dog but I would never go out of my way to pay for someone to experiment.

I'm used to seeing the usual weird and wonderful mixes for sale, yorkiepoos being another popular one. I've always rolled my eyes at those with a £300 price tag, but do they really believe someone is going to pay that much for what is a cross breed regardless of how rare the Sire is?

What I wouldn't give for some sort of animal control in this country with registered, checked and approved breeders and an end to the stupidity of having cross breed puppies with stupid names to make a few quid.

I'm completely in favour of sensible crossing to fix health problems and improve a breed's quality of life, however toy poodles are healthy, long lived, structurally sound little dogs. They don't currently need to be outcrossed for the good of the breed.

Bichons are among the most overbred and puppy farmed breeds in the country, there are tons in rescue and tons in the free-ads.

There can be no motivation here except making money. What sort of lives are the 'parents' living?

Does a Phantom Toy Poodle mean it doesn't really exist?

    They are quite small!

It means this colouring, they are undeniably cute.

    That is very extremely cute....

But that's not a "proper" dog IMO, I'll stick with my big, shaggy, smelly, perverted collie dog :rotfl:

Although undeniably that would make far less mess!

Oh dear, please don't be one of those people.

There's a lovely toy poodle asleep at the end of my bed right now and I absolutely assure you he is a proper dog. What else would he be? A teddy bear? A cat?

Poodle farts stink as much as any collie's!

Haha I have a dog that's extremely similar to the one pictured (mines a chihuahua x jack Russell!!).

He may not be the same size as a 'real dog', but I can guarantee this. He can out-poo any German Shepard!!!

I saw an ad on gumtree yesterday selling "chewawas". Now excuse me for being a snob but if you're not going to make the effort to learn how to spell Chihuahua then you have no business breeding them.
