It was a tongue in cheek comment you know :p

    Ok, good.

As a small dog owner I'm sure you also get fed up of the 'not a real dog' 'overgrown rat' ' get a proper one' comments too. Its even worse with a poodle as well, a lot of people bizarrely judge them on the daft show haircuts and nothing else!

That's a lovely jumper by the way. ;)

I get the "big, fat rat" one (shes a touch on the tubby side). I just say "she no rat, she hamster" it shuts them up if nothing else!

She wasn't so fond of the jumper; she ate it :(

I saw an ad on gumtree yesterday selling "chewawas". Now excuse me for being a snob but if you're not going to make the effort to learn how to spell Chihuahua then you have no business breeding them.

he he, I saw this aswell, and thought the same, also some "spanuels" (springer spaniels)on there aswell.
  • I do prefer big dogs, but that's personal - all dogs are cute :)

We bought what was supposed to be a chihuahua, I use the term "supposed to be" cause quite frankly he looks nothing like one.!!! He started as a fluffy thing that fit in the palm of your hand, then some sort of fluff ball explosion happened, lol.

He can outfart a big dog anytime, lol!

Well, all 6 pups are still for sale in last night's edition only the price has dropped to a bargain £500...... Firmly not helping their case I imagine was the advert underneath for pure breed bichon puppies at £400.
I feel desperately sorry for these animals, doesn't look like they are going to sell them so you do wonder where they will end up.

I just saw an advert for a baby squirrel on gumtree. I'm puzzled. Do many people keep them as pets?

About 3 weeks ago someone down the road from me was selling weimaraner (sp)bread with staffordshire bull terrier pups,

That sounds like someones (misguided!) attempt to get the blue colour into the breed line, blue staffs being the 'in' thing at the moment. The things people do for money!
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D
