Prague food and drink

Hi all,
I'm going to Prague in a few months and heard prices have rose quite sharply? I haven't been for a few years so not sure what to expect. Anyone got any information regarding beer prices/food prices and where's cheap to go?
We'll (15 lads on a weekend away from the other halves!) be staying in Praha 3, so about 20 minutes walk from the City Centre and I know around there used to be pretty cheap (30Kc per beer approx).
Any gems in the Centre would be brilliant and any activities worth a go within the City. Cheers!

This place is awesome if you have a decent sized group of you. Beer on tap at the table. You can bulk buy beer credits in advance to lower prices significantly.
BOOK IN ADVANCE or you will miss out

Thanks Tomby! There will be at least 15 of us so looks perfect!
Anymore information on places to go would be greatly appreciated guys. :money:0 -
recently back from the old town area. Expect to be paying around 80kc per pint. There were 12 of us and limited bartering available regardless of how much we tried.0

Cheers Grogsy.
Was that at night or in the day? I kind of expect it in the clubs but definitely not pubs unless prices have really rocketed since we were there last (2010).
Last time we went, beers were flowing at around 33Kc a go - equivalent of a pound back then.0 -
Budweiser Budvar beer-halls are great places too...

And the foods very good.0 -

Looks like they have happy hour until 6pm so you maybe in luck !
Copied from the Pub website from the link above:
Happy Hour - Pilsner Urquell 0,5l just 31,- CZK daily to 18:000 -
Like I said above, you can also bulk buy beer credits at the Pub place.
370 CZK for 10 credits
So that's 37 CZK for a fresh pulled beer.0 -
The New Town Brewery is a great place. Excellent traditional Czech food and beer.

I did a weekend in Prague recently. I found that drinks (especially beer) are good value once you get away from the Old Square area (over £3 for a beer on the square but less than half of that a few streets away) but food was surprisingly expensive.
Czech food is never going to win any awards, but it's certainly filling. Dumplings with everything.
For a good and huge selection of beer I would recommend http://www.praguebeermuseum.com/
Stay away from the overpriced Irish bars0 -

As someone who lives in Prague, you will be paying this amount in Old Town and the other tourist trappy places like wenceslas square. But outside of these areas food and drink is still pretty cheap. You can get awesome local czech beer for 30 - 40 czk a lot of places while obviously imports are more expensive.0
