Halifax Clarity Spain Declines Cajamar Bank

Hello,
Just a warning for anyone going to Spain with a Halifax Clarity card. For some reason the card declines at any merchant who uses Cajamar bank as its merchant processor. The message appears (After being translated) as "Declined, Remove card" or "Unable to contact card issuing bank".

Anyone that I've tried at anyway. Upon calling Halifax they said they never received any authorisation request. You can tell which bank the merchant uses by looking at the top of their card acceptance sticker on their door.

Halifax has no idea why this has been happening but has been annoying as several restaurants around here (Malaga) seem to use them. Luckily they all took American Express, so I was ok.
