so guys help me here
is it best to use the self scan checkout, thus allowing you to use vouchers in the right order, i.e. £x off £10.00 first

Go for a young male cashier I suggest. The self scan sometimes asks for authorisation which can be a pain; young SAs can be very generous when scanning coupons.
Also, you don't need to have coupons in any particuar order, just make sure 2 of the same arent next to each other or the till thinks its double scanned. Even if your £10.xx H&B shop went to £3, say, with the coupons, your £2.50 off £10 could still be used last as it is based on the original balance. [hope this makes sense?]

thanks for the tip about mixing coupons I wondered why SA had a problem with mine today but bless him,he just put them thru in a different order!
( I love spotty male SAs!):j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Thanks to all the posters on here for my super bargain shop
finally found an extra with some quit packs and some leaflets
but they didn't have any of the mouthwash, which is what i want
so went to a different one
2 x oral b mouthwash
2 x palmolive handwash
2 x tesco extra toothpaste
2 x lynx shower gel
2 x wash and go
and
got some yorkshire tea on the 2 for £5 offer, and some reduced by 50% cat food in the bargain section
Got to the young male SA checkout and waiting in queue when they opened an extra till, couldn't make it look too suspicious so was hoping the new SA would be generous with the coupons
gave him
2 x £2.50 h&b
4 x £1.25 quit
5 x £1 h&b
as mentioned plus one of the quit 40p toothpaste one
end up with my H and B free and
320 yorkshire tea bags and 12 Perfect Fit Active cat food sachets for a total £2.85
I'm sure i could have got a better load of "free" shopping but needed the teabags and cat food and wanted to make sure the total didn't look too lowDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
thanks to johnny_c-l
just went to my local tesco extra, found a guy on checkout with 5 minutes left of his shift, and he happilly put thrugh 2 x £1.25, 1 x £2.50 and 1 x £1.00 vouchers from uit and H&B leaflets, so got loads of bogofs all free!
what was even better was I got another load of voucher booklets as they finally have them in my local store
noticed nivea sun lotion all on bogof too - if only the weather would get better :rotfl:0 -
I will be laughed off this thread for ignorance(and I'm a keen points collector, too)- so will ask in a very tiny voice, SB? Is What?
I've hunted through a few pages, but no sign.
Worked out moc's.
Assume H&B = Health and Beauty.

Watch out for your Healthy Living Club vouchers, too - one of mine received this week offers 150 points with ANY Vaseline Intensive Product and no qualifiying spend. At till, it was refused several times, for insufficient spend - put on manually at CS.
Bought the cheapest thing in range, dry skin cream for £1.48 - worth it for £6 in Clubcard Deals.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

The H&B, Quit and So Beautiful coupon combining is certainly working well for me [including Palmolive glitch]. I paid £2.30 for my £22.19 of shopping tonight with 5 mocs on top... the sa was very impressed. So your answer don’t be scared of failure

SB is So Beautiful.
Btw the Vaseline one may not have scanned because its meant to be used on the Intensive RESCUE range, which is more expensive. I think the handcream is cheapest at £2.99.

Hi Ampersand -
SB stands for So Beautiful, another booklet with Health & Beauty coupons, 3 in fact, listed earlier on in the thread. They combine nicely with the QK (QuitKit) and peach H&B coupons.
Thanks for the heads up on the Vaseline coupon, I have one of those to use up, will look out for the £1.48 item.

I did a few toiletry shops today and picked up some more H&B vouchers. :j So I have some to give away, I've got 8 lots of 6 sheets each, and as there is no rush to spend these (expiry date is 2/9/07) I'd really appreciate an SAE. Obviously, I'd like these to go to people who can't find any in their area!:D
Please PM me if you'd like a bundle.
Sorry, all gone now.0
