From the reviews I've read of this device, they're well made and very good quality. I guess the only thing to dois import a small trial batch and see what they're like. If they're not good I'll loose a few hundred but at least I can use them myself..0

But it's not a matter of whether or not you'd be happy to own it - it's whether you'd be happy to sell it to someone else. With all the legalities and responsibilities that that entails. Being sure that it meets UK safety standards. And that you can prove that it has been tested (which you may end up having to do yourself).
I have imported things from China myself, and yes you can get a good deal but you have to be selective and ask yourself what you are/are not getting. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I saw something on rip off britain with Dom a week or two back where they were talking about chinese mains transformers being iffy. I can't help but wonder just how many of those are in circulation without us knowing.
I've seen a number of Chinese produced power accessories that would be illegal/unsafe simply because of poor design - in the particular cases I am thinking about, they were supplying a 2-pin USB power supply and a UK->2-pin adaptor. They were both potentially dangerous.
It's just easier to avoid these potential safety/legal issues if you aren't supplying such accessories or mains-powered equipment.0 -

So without knowing the import duty, tax and NI situation, currency rate charges a best scenario net profit of £5,78
Is there any import duty on something that costs £12?
Almost £6 profit on a £23 sale is not to be sniffed at."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Come on , you might like to stir things up but you ar enot naive. Profit is not the difference between raw purchase price and gross sale priceBrooker_Dave wrote: »£23 less £13.
