How long would it be from 36,000 feet I wonder.

Before any tree hugging do-gooders complain, I'm not actually saying deny them a parachute - I'm just thinking it.

This is surely unforgivable incident but excuse me if this is a stupid question, what on earth has this thread got to do with planes or overseas travel - even worse that this thread has a wow factor?!
  • Well meher, what Bob's saying is that more captains shold throw screaming children off of planes, just like this bus driver quite rightly did.

    I think it's a great idea.

For say rented property 'quiet enjoyment' is enshrined in law. If I 'buy' a seat on flight to Rome for instance I should be entitled to quiet enjoyment of my flight and the airline should ensure that this is the case. If this means chucking a few balling children out so be it.

Although it would mean fitting all planes with an airlock so the cabin doesn't depressurize when the door is opened.

And it takes about 3 minutes to fall 36,000 feet.

Worth every penny although just a chute down to the hold would be cheaper I guess.

Exactly. And I bet the airlines could subsidize the cost of installation by asking for voluntary contributions from other passengers when the chute needed to be deployed.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
