ok, so in january was teaching at a college in the north, had a valid permit but wasnt on display. ( had fallen off when door opened)

I have received the usual from PCN and now one from Roxburghe.

Just wanted to check the best thing to do is ignore the letter chain? what should i expect next?

I have a photo of the permit, inclusive of permit number etc and my registration number, and it ran from early Jan - end of Feb

Cheers,

Steve

If you are already at the Roxburghe/Graham White letter chain then you are in ignore mode and there is no point contacting them AT ALL. You are in the same boat as this poster although theirs was a pre-October case:

You could have appealed and then taken them to POPLA and probably could have won if you'd come here sooner because your case (if in England/Wales) was post-October so POPLA was available to you. Too late for that now you are in the letter chain though, so ignore it, in the absence of actual small claim papers (which will 99.9% never arrive so you are more likely to win the lottery).

I checked out your bunch of scamers on the AOS members' list and they don't even seem to have their own website. The link on the BPA AOS members' list takes you to 'paymypcn' which is a generic payment website devised by someone rejoicing in the ridiculously dumb name of 'Dwayne' at Roxburghe! I can't see a random PPC not capable of coming up with a website being able to correctly proceed with any small claim so just laugh at them!

Also if you Google them there are LOADS of threads about these jokers, going back years, on here, pepipoo and CAG forums. LOL! at the results.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There is no loss, you had a permit to park. So just ignore roxburghe and graham white next as they are roxburghe pretending to be solicitors, they will want £207.25 precisely, then you'll get a final letter begging you to pay for a discount.

Then nothing end of scam, I have never heard this parking company going to the small claims so its highly unlikely.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

  • Many thanks for your responses.

I know to Ignore but it's still nervy even with my valid permit.

Your story is the same as mine, we were most probably both in the same car park, I suspect the college gave them my mobile number as one day out the blue I started receiving calls.

They will speak to you like you are some sort of criminal and tell you all sorts of things MAY happen, I've started hanging up every time I hear the word 'Roxburghe' its probably the best policy.

Is Roxburge still under investigation by the OFT, who are "minded to revoke their licence"? If so, I'm sure that they'd appreciate being reminded of this.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
  • Luckily no way for them to get my number... I think. If they take me to court, they have no leg to stand on. Ill just produce the permit

You'd need to do a little more than that:). However, Roxburghe/Graham White very rarely do court, and a somewhat more thorough defence would be forthcoming if it were needed (which is highly unlikely).

You'd be surprised, they have their ways, just be prepared for if they do. 01932 numbers and mobile numbers you won't recognise, just remind them that you aren't legally required to speak to them if you choose not to.
  • Thanks all. I appreciate it'll take more than just producing the permit. Luckily I'm a campaigner for a job and this involves a lot of taking orgs much bigger than Roxburghe to court. Combined with the knowledge of mse and pepipoo I would feel very confident
