  • i have just spoken to the land owners ( a large education establishment) and asked them to cancel the invoice given that I was working in the college at the time and had a valid pass. They said they need to speak to PCN NW and get the facts and then get back to me but in 6 years theyve only cancelled one ticket.

any advice or input on my letter?

    thanks

    Dear Mr **,

I have gathered the information about your complaint and discussed the situation with *****, Deputy Principal, and due to the urgency of the matter he has requested that, as a gesture of good faith, the company who manage our car park cancel your parking charge notice. This has now been done and as far as the College is concerned the matter is closed. If you are asked to attend the College in the future could you please ensure that your parking permit is displayed in your car to avoid a similar situation occurring.

    Regards

    ****

Hopefully now this is the end of the matter. i will write a response to DPB stating the fact its been cancelled as I only had 14 days to respond to their "letter before claim"

Thanks for all your help!! I really do appreciate it!
  • and...apparently only the 2nd PCN the college have cancelled in 6 years!

Well done on that, it's always worth complaining to the service provider involved

That is a great success story to get it cancelled at the eleventh hour! :T

Sorry you were talking to yourself on this thread - but August and Christmas are the two quietest times for regulars on this parking forum. I am just catching up from my own hols and am battling to deal with a desperately bad family issue too - but I was impressed and hope others follow your example.

ALWAYS COMPLAIN TO THE ORGAN GRINDER WHEN YOU GET A FAKE PCN FROM THEIR MONKEY.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
