Splitting survey costs with other buyers

I have a potentially silly question, but I thought I might put it out there.
I've now booked a Homebuyer’s Report for a flat purchase; a Full Structural was not deemed necessary for a single floor flat purchase. But unusually, two floors of the same converted house are being sold at the same time.
Would it be possible/advisable to split the cost of a Full Structural Survey with the buyer of the floor below? Would that even be permissible for both mortgage lenders (if applicable for the other buyer)?

I think that any potential savings would be outweighed by the worry that something could go disastrously wrong.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

A survey is none of the lender's business. It is for your benefit.
The lender will undertake a Valuation (which you pay for) and anything above this is down to you.
A survey is for the benefit of the person who instructs/pays the surveyor.
I don't see why you and another buyer cannot jointly instruct a surveyor ti undertake a survey of the building's structure/common parts. Ring some surveyors and discuss!
You might then each individually instruct the same surveyor to do reports of your individual flats.
Surely this would be cheaper tjan each of you doing full building surveys...
