  • Recently completed my first assignment with Retail Eyes, all went well apart from I only received my exact expenses and not the amount they allocated to spend. So my advice would be, if they allocate you, say £10 to spend, make sure you spend as close to the £10 as possible cos you won't get back the difference!

I'm now looking at other assignments, if I accept an assignment, is it easy enough to change the date of the assignment (providing it still falls within their required timescale), or do they penalise you for changing the date?

Yes RE do only reimburse what you spend out, but I didnt expect this to be any different - do some just pay you the whole expense amount then? As I guess you would then ned to declare this extra as income??

As for changing the date on RE I think you need to assign a date within 48 hours or if you change the date you cannot earn the 2 bonus points for completing a job on time - have a read on their FAQ :D

You can change the date only once on the site yourself ... for further changes you will have to call in. Not sure about the points though.

  • Pff that's a bit silly isnt it. And they say if you don't do an assignment for 3 months you have to return the equipment. Looks like I'll be returning it early next year then!!!

You can do them every other month. I have been rotating the same 10 shops in the close proximity for the last 2 years and everything has been OK!
    Who said there is a 1-year rule????
  • So, for these special coffee MS do you email them to get put on a list?? Sounds interesting....

Well I did email them but didn't get a response

I actually asked them when they called me to ask me to do an assignment at short notice. Nothing happened.

Next time they called I asked again. Nothing happened.

Next time they called I asked again. This time I was put through to the man in charge of coffee assignments (Alex I think his name was) and he said he'd set me up. A couple of days later they showed up on my orientation page and bizarrely it said I had already passed the certification test  . A few days later my box containing kitchen scales, thermometer and stopwatch arrived.

Doing the first one this Thursday in Bluewater. Very excited :j
