I haven't done any work for GFK before but I've got a chance to do a 'phone one. I'm not too sure about the 'scenario' though. Have others found these o.k. to do -I'm not a terribly good liar and my memory is lousy so it worries me a bit!0

The attitude on this board is disgusting! Unlike the rest of MSE where people are happy to help others, asking for help on here is just replied with a spit in the face!

I had the opportunity to do a mortgage one but didnt feel comfortable doing this yet as I havent really done many mystery shops yet!! The brief did sound quite in depth too
Also a GAP question, I do not have the burger companies in my training? Does this appear once I have done a few others? I have got a few booked for dec but would like to get some burgers in before xmasSealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

I think that it depends where you go. I have done a couple of these chicken shops and ordered the same meal and in the two places that I have visited their prices vary. I also think it depends on where you live as well.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Have you been with GAP for more than three months? if so you should be able to see the training. If you have not been with GAP for three months then you will have to wait until you have been with them for this lenght of time before you will see training for burgers.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

The Burger ones appear when you have been with GAP a couple of months. Then you are allowed to take the test for themMSE GBBO 2015 - Go Alvin!0 -
I asked for a simple bit of help and people acted like I'd asked them to do the shop for me. I have found some people very helpful, especially Timmne. Some newbies do want everything handed to them on a plate, I try and be a bit patient with them as MSing is VERY confusing to start with.
The question I asked was reasonable, and I don't appreciate any mention to my knickers on the internet, they are not twisted but infact perfectly ironed.
I managed to find the prices on my own, therefore found the cheapest option myself. I hope those who have been unhelpful and unfriendly don't ask anyone else on here for help, and when they do are greeted with the friendly response I did.:TI'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -

I have also been waiting for burger 1s, I was told that its 8weeks before they let you, I've been on there about 7 1/2 so we'll see if it comes up next week or if I've gta wait another month. I'll keep you updated.I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -

Hi Anne - I would hold off on doing any work for GFK until you consider yourself more of an experienced MSer - the reason I say this is that GFK jobs can be particularly in depth sometimes and you need to remember a lot (I'm thinking about one I did for them a while back) so if you're not comfortable at this stage, don't accept a job from them.
The best advice I can give in your situation is to get registered with GAP and do a load of burger and chicken jobs for practice. Jobs like phone shops and banks are a little more involved and you have to be a qualified liar for them (I passed with honours!) - if you're not quick and comfortable with lying you'll all of a sudden have a new phone or even worse, a new mortgage!0 -
I'll second the GfK ones being a bit complex.
I've got one where I have to 'do' a particular person in quite a large store. The description is quite vague so I've got no idea how I'm going to find said person without looking too suspicious or having to come up with loads of other queries to ask just incase I get near enough to see the badge and find I'm not with the right person - if you know what I mean...
Anyone else got any tips on how to do these?? I don't normally feel nervous as I've been doing this a while now but I think this one might have me stumped!0
