My GF is having issues with this too for two sandwich jobs. It's annoying as it's taking up time trying to access the page and as time goes on, specific memories are fading! I suggested that if they haven't sorted it by tomorrow evening, we can afford to waste the £3.98 spent on the sandwiches!
A bit irresponsible of them to not have contacted shoppers to explain the error....0 -
Well I paid £10 for a meal, and they WILL be paying me for it!!! Its a really bad report, so the pub would hope it doesn't get put through!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

I did lots of pubs in the past and some were pretty grim. Now I do restaurants mostly and only one in the past 5 years has been really bad. Otherwise, yummy, and reasonable service.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Morning all you secret shoppers.
Is anybody else having problems accessing the TNS job allocation page?
I can log no problem, but, when I try to search for a job, the page that comes up is blank.....a bit like me really......
I have e-mailed my handler.....I like that term, makes me feel like a spy....but not yet had a reply.

hi, ive been lurking on the boards for a while and have found it great, im just a bit confused tax wise i have signed up with grass roots and done my first 2 jobs, obviously have to go self employed, but now i have been excepted for tns as well and just wondered what i should put on the p46 they are sending me, these will be my only jobs so i wont go over my personal allowence, so i shouldnt have to pay tax on my tns jobs, whats the best way to go about this, any help would be greatly apprieciated and thanks guys for a great thread and getting me back out there working.De-clutter this year 10kg:j

I did my assignment for grassroots on Sunday, and filled the questionnaire out when I got home. I was just wondering, how long does it take to know if it has been approved?0

Do they do gallon sized flasks??
Mumsrus - if TNS is your only employment then tick box A or B on the P46. The front page is the only one you'll need to fill out and the rest should be self explanatory. At the end of the year, if you've not earned over £5,225 then you'll not have paid any tax in this employment.
Please remember though that if you get another job that pays more than TNS then you'll need to get your tax codes switched, so you're making things tax efficient on a month to month basis...
As far as most other mystery shopping companies go, you'll be self employed so they won't be termed 'job' as such in the eyes of the tax man - these will be contracts as such with companies, running through your self employment business of mystery shopping. You will prepare accounts (well, sort of!) at the end of the tax year and these will give you your profit. Once this profit is included on your tax return, providing you haven't earned more than your personal allowance over ALL income streams, you won't be due any tax.
Have you filled out the forms to become self employed yet?0
