UKPC parking ticket in Scotland - CCTV

Hi, This morning I got a parking ticket for £100 from UKPC because I parked in a McDonalds car park for 12 mins over the allotted time (caught on CCTV). They seem to be an English company and the letter talks about being parked in England or Wales. However I live in Scotland and the charge is related to a time I was parked in a McDonalds car park in Dundee! Not in England!
My question is whether the law is different in Scotland and England and whether the incorrect letter makes the fine void?
Thanks

There are some differences in England and Wales. But as you can see ukpc don't know the difference it seems. In Scotland you ignore parking companies completely, they will try to threaten you with outlandish threats which include the small claims, even though this is Scotland !
Parking companies don't know who was driving and in Scotland you have no obligation to tell them, despite what they say. In your case ignore will always be the best option unless the car is not yours, like leased or hired. They will write letters to the registered keeper. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Ignore it and watch the Watchdog videos about this scam:

The one with the Solicitor and the paper aeroplane sums up the position in Scotland - and no, they won't know who was driving despite the CCTV on site. That's not how the scam works - look at the fake PCN the solicitor is holding in one of the videos, it's just like yours with a pretty picture of a car and all! They will be hoping you reply as an 'appeal' and in doing so, give them information on a plate like who was driving...DON'T!
And there is nothing to void, it is NOT A FINE!! It's just a well-known SCAM, an invoice impersonating a parking ticket. Doesn't affect your credit rating or anything at all:

Yes they will write rubbish letters to the registered keeper, but in Scotland the keeper is NOT liable! Here are the letters to laugh at, play snap with each one:

HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What fine?
The main thing about these letters is that couching them in English Law makes there unenforceable contract penalties even more unenforcable than they were before.
Its a scam, the companies don't care and even the Scottish based PPCs don't seem to know or care that we have a different legal system.
So as POFA does not apply in Scotland, your only best option is to ignore altogether. Check the letter chain threads to see what rubbish to expect from them.0
