Hi kyle!:hello:
Thank you for posting hun - you did well to do that.:T I'm sure the guys have given you a warm welcome and huge amounts of support.:T
quote=kyle;Hi i am new to this thread and thought i would say hi:D
I suffer from agrophobia, had pnd twice and have panic attacks, day to day is bad for me as i feel pretty low most of the times, feel as if my life is going nowhere, hubby and i hardly go out together alone, we have 3 kids so not often we get the chance.
Agoraphobia suffers from me as well hun! (yes, I know what I've written!:D ).
It's a cruel illness and you never see it coming so I can relate to how you feel angel.:o
I ended up staying in the house for years hun but cbt has worked wonders for me. What help has your gp offered hun? I know how helpless you feel when your day is filled with panic attacks. It's not surprising you feel so low kyle.
Basically since i was 19 i have had my kids, tried to go back to college a couple of years ago but then found i was expecting! i do cardmaking and i like to use aromatherapy but find i dont have much concentration to finish things or go back to them.
A lot of people with menal ill health issues can lose their concentration kyle. If you set it in as part of a routine hun, doing something creative will help to distract you from the anxiety. That's the key you see hun - you have to learn how to manage your mental ill health and not the other way round. So much easier said than done, I know angel.
I am currently having cbt for my agrophobia which is helping me but cant help feeling down, my ds(8) has diabetes and he has a lot of agression, moodswings etc, today he was lashing out at his brother.
Ok - I'm pleased you're trying cbt hun and getting mental health care - you have to practice it constantly for it to work well. The other thing that might help you is guided relaxation.
Also you could make sure you're alone, put on some classical/relaxation cd and lie down, relaxing each part of you and then let your mind create a story that fits the music. I never thought it would work - but it really did!;) Again you have to do it regularly for it to work.
Have you got any help with your ds angel? Are social services helping you? There should be more help for you hun. it's better to ask for help than wait until you reach breaking point.;)
Forgive me hun, but imho, it sounds that you feel like all you've been is a mum since a young age, and you want to explore some options that will fit in with that. Once your agoraphobia lessens, there'll be so many doors open to you hun. That's one reason to beat this illness angel.
I hope this helped a little hun. Please let us know how you get on kyle - I'm sure everyone has alreay given superb advice and support as usual.:A Take care hun.
Much Love,

This place can accommodate you and anyone else that wants to post here. This is the big heart of the forum and you will find wonderful people and much help/caring.
I hope sazzy checks in and tells us how she's done (and maybe posts a pic of her blistered feet) xx
Hugs and handshakes to all xxx
I've just blowed my brains out as far as posting in the Arms. A poster has wound me up and I just feel it's not worth my effort down there. It will upset me and I will miss it. But the place has changed and my face don't fit there any more (if ever).
So I'm afraid you lot might have to bear the brunt of my humour from now on.
Run while you have the chance xx
Hi gilly!:hello:
How are you hun- a little calmer I hope?
Uh-oh sazzy - I think we've now got a barmy badger on our hands! Probably a case of Forum Fever!
Give him 3 blue smarties stat! (Always wanted to say that - the stat bit, not the blue smarties!):D
Look after yourself gilly hun.
Much Love,

razorbladekisses wrote: »:hello: Welcome happysinglemum, Well done on having cut down on your drinking. That's great. How do you feel?
If you ever feel the need to rant about anything, feel free to do so here. There is usually always someone about who will be willing to listen.
Do you have any hobbies/interests that you could pursue?
Thanks razorbladekisses, I feel a lot better for having cut down on the drink - no more mid-week hangovers!I didn't manage to stop drinking last night, but I'm only having one drink in the evenings now anyway, so I think I'll just start by having a couple of drink-free evenings a week and build up from there, rather than cutting it out completely.
It's really great to know there's somewhere to come where people actually understand how you feel. And it also helps to know that some of my bad experiences in the past can be put to some good use, by trying to help others who are going through similar things now.
I don't really have time for hobbies at the moment, between raising my son and studying for my PGCE, I seem to be constantly on the go! (Although, I suppose the time I spend online could be put to better use...):o
Thanks for all the support, it's really helped me to know I'm not on my own.
xxHousework won't kill you, but why take the chance

Now be a good sazzy or I'll have to put you in the cupboard and take all the blue smarties out!
There again...... hey gilly! :hello:
Have you had a better offer than that this week yet hun?
Strike while the iron is hot hun!;)(not to mention the feet!):rotfl:

what is the nitty gritty in life?
Hi andi!:hello:
How are you hun?
I take it to mean something that is at the heart of a matter, down to details, to the heart of it, down to the not so nice and mundane but necessary basics. The root cause of a situation. Things that must be taken care of.
Hth!;) Take care angel.

I am good thank you Tiff.
DS is doing well too thank you. He has a couple of days at his new school in July and I think he's slightly nervous but I'm sure he's not the only one. He's just grateful that he got in and not going to the other school.
Do you know my DS uses Lynx!! He's 11!!
My DS has been using it (now 17) - why do they think they need to use so much of it? I can smell him before I see him most mornings!:rotfl:
Am starting to go running again tonight. Now the depression is better I now have the energy to start again.
Good for you angel - do 10ks for me please - I'll be with you in spirit!:D
When are you off galavanting on your holiday?
Yes verily, 'tis the eve of the day about to dawn, when Harrogate in Yorkshire is about to get Tiffed!
Right off my food I am - could only manage half a kipper this morning because I'm getting so jumpy!
More [strike]warnings[/strike], er details on that later...going for a lie down now, sniff sniff...
Catch up with you later karrie. Take care hun.
