Not really, you still have whatever you wanted to sell.
Just ask for cash on collection, no fees, no worries, why complicate life?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I'm happy to say I'm not selling any of the items you describe!
The point still stands, however. If your item is worth around £20, what sort of scammer is going to bother risking a hacked Paypal account being discovered for the sake of getting your item for free.
As I said before, we've taken the risk before and not had problems. Though in your case there is no reason not to insist on cash on collection if they collect, as you can still offer Paypal if they want to pay postage.
Or you can take the risk and accept Paypal with collection. If you do so you must understand that they are able to ask Paypal for their money back which Paypal will take from you without being interested in what you have to say. You could pursue the individual through the courts, but the chances are that if they are scamming you the address you have for them is false.
I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying you should know the risks.0 -

Or... I forgot to say the "Elvis" Rock & Roll Radio Toilet Roll Holder - Vintage, Used.
Couldn't find the "Elvis" edition, but here:

But in all my years of selling collection only have never encountered the *pay by paypal and collect* scam, and if someone tried a career of it, I can see their paypal account being lost pretty sharp.
We've had plenty on here, sometimes for an amount of less than £20- for some odd reason baby items seem to attract scammers regardless of the amount.
In this particular instance I would insist on cash on collection as it is buyer wanting to collect , not seller saying it must be colelcted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. soolin, I'm trying to put things in perspective. There is a risk to walking out of your front door and crossing the road, but if I went on "I-just-had-an-accident.COM" it will be full of people telling me about their awfull accidents. Do you get my drift?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I do actually agree, I only trying to warn the newer sellers. I've even taken paypal for a collected item at least twice in the past couple of years, but I understand my risks. However given the choice and of only to avoid the fees, wherever possible I would insist on cash on collection rather than PayPal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
