All i want is the above picture and the normal connectorslike scart and hdmi and i have found out you can plug an usb stick in some tvsand watch the film that’s on the stick so i want this too :)

Don’t need the internet on the TV that’s what a PC is for

Wow, that's a very open question. Like asking 'recommend a car to me, must have 4 wheels'.

To start with, what's your budget?
What size screen are you looking for?
    Is HD important to you?

I should point out that having a USB port on your television, does not automatically mean you can put a memory stick in with a movie on it and hope it will play on the television.

That TV has no motion processing, and awful contrast. Films with dark scenes are going to look very milky and hazy, not to mention you'll get a lot of motion blur.

The problem with your "no smart features" demand is that TVs with good picture ALSO tend to have smart features. They don't make thousands of configurations of models, you get:

    Crap.
    Not as crap.
Actually half decent and has smart features.
    Good with smart and 3d.
Very good with smart and 3d
    amazing with smart and 3d.

It's also not full HD, 1080p.
Can't see anything decent at the same price. Just looking at specs (read some reviews before buying), I'd want to throw an extra £50 in for this one:
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ue40eh5000/sams-ue40eh5000
You'll get a bigger screen, Freeview HD, and the screen is also Full HD. Just because the screen is better I guess you'll have bigger speakers and better sound.
vyle - any TV I buy usually gets the motion processing switched off straight away. I want to watch the pure picture, and these 'enhancements' usually do the opposite.

You say you don't want the internet on the tv but if you want to use BBC iplayer and other similar options then you need an internet connection to get them.

Same applies if you want to stream Lovefilm etc.

Which magazine recommend the Samsung UE37ES5500 and can be found for under £400
