Can I pay this years tax allowence into 2 ISA accounts? Half in one, half in other?

    No, you can only contribute 'new' money to one ISA per year.

    You can if both Cash ISAs are Nationwide accounts. But you can't otherwise.

    Newcastle BS also allows the money to be split across several of their ISA accounts. (They seem to think the service is unique ..?)

    Oh really!

    I was thinking of opening any Halifax ISA with only £2 just to get the 6% on the Halifax Junior ISA!!! And put the remainder of my allowance - the £5758 in another ISA for myself.

    So, I cannot do the above then?

    No you can't do that. You would have subscribed to two providers, which isn't allowed.

    If you have an "old" previous years ISA, you can transfer a part of this into halifax to meet the requirement for a Junior ISA.
