I don't agree it would be a hassle to flick between so many boards. everyone has comps that they aren't interested in, for example I don't enter kids comps, ticket comps or surveys but I don't want separate boards for them. It only takes minutes to cross them off.Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!
Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
Wishing all a little luck:beer:0 -
kzmicallef, I was merely expressing my opinion and putting it out to the Chat Corner to see what others thought. I think your response lacks courtesy and respect. You think it would be a "hassle" to go via an extra board for social media comps, whilst I find it time-consuming to trawl through the main board when there are now so many FB and Twitter competitions. It takes a lot longer than a minute to cross them off.
Nonetheless silence speaks volumes, therefore I am assuming that the current set-up works for the majority. That's absolutely fine. I enjoy the spirit of this forum, and am particularly grateful to all positive contributors who take time to find and post competitions and answers.0 -
Wow! lacks courtesy and respect?! What for posting my opinion? or because I didn't agree with you? I do not believe in being rude on forum boards and would never intend to do so. Life is short, comping is a hobby.Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!

sorry i dont think the reply was disrecpectful at all was just an opinion of which i agree with
there are plenty of comps i dont enter i just cross them offWhat goes around-comes around0 -
kzmicallef, I don't mind people disagreeing. If I misinterpreted your tone, I apologize. This can happen on forums.
Thank you for the link, mjm3346. Looks like there are arguments for and against.0 -
I think the best way around this would be for the search function to be improved so that you could actually exclude any results with (TW) or (FB) in the title. It wouldn't get rid of all, but a lot.
But.....I have no clue how to do that, or how much time/money it would cost as it would be a website function change. So it's probably unlikely.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
My opinion is thus - if there was some uniformity (and I know the vast amount of comp posters do this anyway) in comp posting, for example if the comp title clearly said TW, FB, RCopter, Survey etc then we can just skip past the ones that we don't want to enter. I tend to not bother with RCopter cops (nor Daily's anymore) as they often require a 'daily' visit, and as much as I like comping, by doing RCopters and Daily's 'daily' it was starting to take over my life.
In short, it only takes a nano second to scroll past a comp that I don't want to enter. But my god, I'd rather it be there than not, and I'd rather see it than not, 'cos I just might fancy entering a comp style that I normally don't because the prize may be very appealing.UEFA: Corrupting Football Since 1954 #CTID0 -

I agree, I do enter some rafflecopeter comps but not all, I enter Twitter & a few Facebook ones but Facebook hasn't been good to me (Ha 3 comp win over 2 1/2 years!) but I do enter a few. It dowsn't take that long to go through the lists & most posters do put it in the heading,
I'd much rather see a compeittion & think I'll not enter than miss one I'd love.
But we are all entitled to our opinions.
If anyone has seen the comping fairy recently could you remind her I'm still here :rotfl::rotfl: "Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?" - Lucy Maud Montgomery :hello:
:T:jThank you to all the competition posters, you are all brilliant! :j:T0 -
I do enter Twitter comps but I don't have FB at all, and I have noticed an incredible increase in this style of comp. Sometimes I go through several pages and find only a handful of comps that aren't FB.
I agree with MaineBlue (rarity for me to agree with a City fan :P
) though, that if everyone put 'FB' 'TW' etc in the title, it would be much easier to skip past them. It can be a little time consuming when this doesn't happen, and it would be nice to have a way to filter out the social media comps. 0
