Npower have the incorrect bill date. Should I tell them?

I manage my npower account online and the next bill date is in the past. My last bill was 12/12/12, and my next bill date is 16/03/2012.
Thinking that it was an error and they meant 16/03/2013, so I'd get a bill anyway, I submitted a meter reading in March but no bill ever arrived.
I am moving house in July. If I move without getting a bill is there any way I can be charged, or will the next tenant/landlord have to assume the cost?
I have the money to cover the bill should it arrive, but I was hoping to get your opinions on what to do. It would be nice to get six months utilities free, but I don't want the next tenants to have a massive bill for utilities they didn't use.
Thoughts?

When you leave you provide final meter readings and get a final bill. If you want a bill sooner call Npower and they will generate one.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Billing & Payment problems with n'power are very common on this site, apperently due to gliches with a new software system.
If you are are moving in July, I'd advise submitting meter readings and keeping a record of them every month till you move out - Then at least when n'power come up with a Final Bill, ( and they may take ages to do it), you have the ammunition to check it, and challange it if need be0 -

Hi AreOhBeEeAreTea,
Could you send me your details over to forumresponse@npower.com and I can speak to our web support team about this and get the bill date corrected.
When you move out of your property, you'll need to call us to provide your final readings and close the account, and we'd then send you a final bill for charges up to this period.
Many thanks,

Hi AreOhBeEeAreTea,
I agree with HappyMJ and dogshome: you'll have to pay for the Energy and the most important Readings will be the ones you take when you move.
Unfortunately, there are many issues with npower's 'new system' as documented in the long thread:
Warning: npower accept new customers without sending them a Contract
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4273611
An early symptom of the 'broken system' was their inability to send out Contracts.
The 'new system' has lost Customer's data. There are also issues with DDs and Billing.
As npower are using a 'broken system' there are, naturally, many Posts (in the thread above and other linked threads here at MSE) about difficulty in contacting npower.
I recently had to phone them to make sure my DD was set correctly: see Post #181.
Your observation illustrates another error. I'll add a cross reference in the main thread.
If "Adam at npower" does not resolve this, I advise you to be proactive in your dealings. Remember the Customer Service staff are also having to use the 'broken system'.
