bank account for voluntary non-profit group?

Hi, we are a small local group hoping to set up a bank account for a non-profit/voluntary animal protection group. We need a bank account to apply for grants, bank fundraising funds. Can anyone recommend a good basic account with low or non-existent charges please!?
