online account for small charity

Hi All,
I am the secretary of a small charity on one of the Scottish islands. We have a specific project which is attracting a lot of donations and I want to keep the money seperate. Unfortunately we bank with RBS who say for us to open another account they would need each director (there are 8) to turn up in person to the branch to authorise this. We are located 2.5 hrs by infrequent ferry from the mainland and nearest bank so I really want to open an account online although the directors are happy to send passports etc. Does anybody have any suggestions?

This is a tiny bank for the charity sector. It doesn't have a branch network, but it does have an online banking service.
CAF Bank is part of the Charities Aid Foundation.
All accounts are opened by post so it is the normal proceedure to send the application forms and proof of ID / address to themEarly retired - 18th December 2014
