As if my magic there's a 6.9% for life offer appeared on one of the accounts this morning.

We have three Barclaycards (one each and an Egg transfer for me) and having had non stop offers for a long time these have indeed dried up (even though one account saw a 40% increase in credit limit a month or so back).

I suspect that this is due to the fact that they haven't made a penny out of me/us from previous transfers and we don't spend on the cards at all.

The system got bored of us it seems!:rotfl:

Cell, seems the exact same circumstances as me. Wife and I have three Barclaycards, one is an old Egg account. In January we got a 40% limit increase and a few balance transfer offers. Then they all seem to have dried up. Although I took advantage of a 0% in January.

To the OP - It seems unless Barclaycard have a specific offer, you can't get a balance transfer at all!

If they have dried up completely its probably something to do with the credit feed they receive from Equifax each month.

That would be the came credit feed which added £4000 to the OH's credit limit six weeks ago?

It just seems to be random.

And as I said, out of the blue a lifetime offer appeared on her account this morning.

But no, it is certainly the case that BTs can only be done if there's an offer, not as a matter of course, even at your standard APR.

Still no offers on my account. Unlikely to be linked to credit report as suggested as I get offers on my other cards and no problems with new credit. Will wait a couple of months and then threaten to move on
