You need photo ID for Southern Ireland, not necessarily a passport, if you are coming from Britain.
  • :-) my mistake - should have guessed there'd be some exception or other!

I have children going with me to Dublin who are all under 16. Am I right in saying that you do not need any passports for them?

Ryanair photo id bit says that under 16s don't need a passport to fly to Rep of Ireland, so long as they are travelling with adults. Adults just need photo id, so a photo driving licence is okay. We take the kids over a lot and never have a problem, think they treat Eire much like and internal UK flight.

I got a flight to vitoria for my friends's weeding for just £1.40.. I also paid for my parent's tickets to come a visit me (i was feeling generous ;) ) just cost me 20 euros for both of them from vitoria to stanstead on september and that was just cos my parents need the luggage. GOt another tickets, we are going ( me and my parents) to Dublin for a day ( just £4.40).. THank you OP.. By the way.. What can I do in one day on Dublin? never been there, any ideas?

You only need photo ID (I used a photocard driving license) to fly to Dublin with Ryanair.

I did exactly that last year and the ryanair staff didn't bat an eyelid ;)

  • Batwell, only flights listed as Reg fares, rather than Web fares, qualify for the 1p taxes included offer - the flights you have listed above incur the taxes shown.
  • just found some 1p flights but the infants fare is £7. Would it matter if i book him in as a child he's 16 months, thanks
