Can someone advise please.
If you go to court to fight out finances in a Divorce Settlement, does the losing party have to pay the others costs
Solicitors are acting for both parties but this issue has just occured to me.
What are the rules on these "Costs" and does the "loser" have to pay these on top of their own legal fees?
Any advise appreciated.

all I know is that if the other side gets legal aid then it is unlikely you can claim costs off them but they can claim off the loser.

Legal aid provision for this kind of case was recently ended. Each side will pay for their own representation, there are, in legal terms, no winners or losers, just a settlement.0
