tromso - northern lights novemer - what clothes do we need

They will supply you with the over clothes.
You just need to take underwear including vests and long johns and thick socks. Then trousers, T,shirts and fleeces/. Smart casual for evenings. And hat & gloves. Still take a warm coat ideally down to the knees for the days you are not on an organised trip.
As has been said, you then layer on more Tshirts and fleeces depending on how good the coats are that are provided.
The reason I recommended Rohan earlier is that their gear is lightweight, so comfortably layer and they are warm enough for the environment. Even if you don't buy them it will give you an idea of the type of thing to take.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pyjamas: - Suggest you take one fleecy pair and one lighter silky so you can select to suit when you are there

Hat with earflaps. May not be stylish in the photos (pick carefully?!) but frozen ears worse.
All the layers you can get in & out of on hands & feet too. Thin gloves, thicker gloves, over mitts. Practice using your camera in them - and camera may not like cold...0 -
you wont need silk layers, they are really only for when you are active (such as skiing)
m&s do nice merino wool socks in the mens section
I dont know how cold it is going to be, you are going in Nov and at sort of the same level as the place I go to in Finland so I dont think you are going to experience the real sub temps but best be prepared just in case
as for the PJ's, if you get the fleecy ones from primark you can wear them as your middle layer (under your snowsuit) during the day0 -
When we went DD had thicker winter weight pjs, (the fleecy ones), me I had posh holiday pjs - satin ones - the accomodation be warm enough in hotel.
Take extra batteries for your camera as the cold soon drains the use from them.
Its unlikely your hit temps we did as it was unusual at the time, can drop to minus 20C at the most,
When we did ur husky trip we were picked up from hotel 3pm and was back by 5.30pm (20mins on coach each way).
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
