Good Morning.
My sons laptop has suddenly decided enough is enough and wont work anymore, therefore we are looking at purchasing him a new one.
However im not that knowledgeable with what laptops are good or bad.
In a nutshell purpose for laptop.
Internet browsing
Gaming (well his one game football manager 2013)
Budget up to £350
Ideally something quick and responsive.
Any suggestions or deals out there would be much appreciated

Absolutely any laptop will cover those minimal requirements.
But this isMSE, so why not fix the old one. What's wrong with it?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
The computer itself turns on, however the laptop screen is black.
For a new laptop, sorry he also will be downloading music and storing films0 -
I've just been looking in to the same thing this morning! I found this article helpful, especially the info. about processors. You'd need the best processor you can afford for gaming.

Edit: Just had a quick look at the one that welshee posted and the reviews are looking good! Thanks welshee0 -
well fortunatly football manager doesnt have hugh requirements however just had a quick look and found these at PC Wrold (personally dont like the company as their customer service is shocking - but they do have the occasional good deal) these two are refurbs but still come with a 12 month warrenty

which has a pretty good graphics chipset http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7640G.69836.0.html but a weaker processor
or http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-g6-2293sa-refurbished-15-6-laptop-winter-blue-19572031-pdt.html which has a much better processor but a bit weaker graphics chipset
both of the above should comfortably play football manager and really comes down to the choice between better processor (quicker for everyday things) or better graphics chipset (better for games)Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
