You're not new to this so I'm surprised that you dont know that the first rule of misprice club is you don't talk about misprice club!
Which, of course, is why we have a thread dedicated to this particular misprice, so we can all not talk about it...Let's hope that the thing that happens is that you don't blow it for the rest of us.....
As for the notion of blowing it for everybody else - really? It's luck of the draw on misprices as to whether your order is fulfilled or cancelled. If pepperoni was expecting 4 mugs and only got sent one when everybody else appears to be receiving 4, then he/she is fully entitled to complain about it.0 -
FROGLING
Look, it doesn't take a lot of thought to understand what I meant in my post, surely...perhaps you're being ironic?
For your benefit, and your second sentence encourages me to state the bleedin' obvious, you don't go running to the retailer telling them to investigate why you didn't receive goods at what is clearly a misprice.
Them's the rules...well that's what I thought?
Doing so flags up the misprice, will most likely lead to the supplier telling you to shove off and the misprice being corrected.
FWIW, I don't think you are "entitled to complain" as you suggest, when you know damn well it's incorrectly priced and you're buying them hoping that you're getting them at a quarter of the price. Some you win (or others do) and some you lose....
Perhaps I'm out of order here and no-one else agrees? In which case, these are just my rules and I'll wind my neck in!0 -
Okay let me just clarify something.
On this occasion I actually went to the order page for the mug(s) from a link in an old order from last year for.....wait for it...yes, a 4 mug set...so technically a re-order. This is how I explained it to Amazon.
As for the concern about the price only being for a single item...how come the 'other buying choices' - which are a selection of prices for the very same item - in this case a set of four, either plates or cups and saucers, say exactly that..a set of four? The only item that does not say a set of four are the mugs BUT the other buying choice price of £28 indicates by it's price level that these would be a set of four....it's called reasonable expectation, insomuch that if I paid £28 I would have a reasonable expectation of receiving 4 mugs, especially as my past order for a set of four took me to this very page - however the buying choices also state the Amazon £6 price..so who would pay £28 when they also advertise for £6?...this argument also applies to the plates and cups and saucers at their respective lower prices.
Oh another thing...my order from last year was £7.50 for a set of four mugs...£6 is therefore not an unreasonable price to pay for another set...so not 'clearly a misprice' although I agree a very good price so I feel I am fully entitled to complain.0 -
