to be fair, I bought my car from a dealer like that. It's not necessarily a scam just a small time dealer operating with little overheads. The guy I bought it from kept all his cars at a gravel road. He seemed like a legit guy and I wasn't sure about buying the car and he told me I could take the car out for a day and see if I like it, if I do he'll come back a day laster and collect payment. To be fair he's a friend of a friend of a friend.

I'm just saying, just because they're not vat registered, dont have a 020 number (btw these are real easy to get, and forward calls to your mobile) doesnt make them a scammer.

You think, you have a lot to lose of a budget car purchase. If they scam people they have more to lose with trading standard and vigilante/revenge attacks on their cars valued at 50-60K at their forcourt probably.

Anyone sensible would not risk it.

Look at the garage in the link I posted. It's in response to arcon saying we don't know the address isn't the garage.

The two businesses have identical websites, just the contact details have changed.

They are a dodgy bunch who move on every couple of months.

Sorry but it doesnt make any sense to buy a car from someone who keeps changing his business name and doesnt have any contact details.

There are plenty more cars out there.

Are you telling OP to go and buy the car? If so hope you are ready to take up their case if it goes pear shaped
