Hi guys,

Another naive 23 year old!

Ive received a few fines from Town and City parking at my local ASDA. Instinctively googled them straight away, ended up here about 6 months ago and saw all their tickets being rubbished off.

I've now received 3 or 4, all unintentionally. I've left them as everyone has advised me to, it's been months now.

Got home from work today and I have received a letter from a debt recovery company threatening me with court action etc.

Being the paranoid individual that I am, should I continue to ignore these? Will they just give up?

It's hard for someone like myself to just ignore something like this and my dad is also a bit paranoid because we have outstanding fines hanging over the household.. natural when you have a decent credit rating etc!

Replies appreciated,

Regards

They are not FINES! Stop worrying, they are unenforceable invoices which won't damage your credit rating.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

You came here but you missed the sticky thread at the top with the letter chain then?

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2329119

You should just be laughing at these letters and playing snap. Everyone gets them! If the letters you have are not from AA Hutton and then Whyte & co., just look at the pics shown under other PPCs who will be using the same letter chain you are getting. DRP/Zenith or Roxburghe/Graham White then, they are all there under one scammer or other!

Zenith Collections next, who just happen to be Debt Recovery Plus Ltd trying to be someone else, take a look at the signatures when you get them, James becomes a woman across both companies, sad that he has gender issues. ;)
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Haha! thanks for your input :)

I've seen loads of other threads on it but me being me am just so paranoid!

I've got a picture of the letter on my comp but it won't let me insert it, though you probably know exactly which letter i'm talking about anyway.

i'll just leave it and take my mind it off :T

Debt collection companies can only ask you nicely to pay up. They cannot take you to court. Only the issuer of the ticket/invoice can do that. Or, more likely, the landowner.
You don't have "outstanding fines hanging over the household". You have some invoices asking you for money, which is a different thing entirely.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
