Windows is going to update the new Nokia phones later this year to enable the FM radio. For now i use an app 'Tunein Radio' is low data.

I have a 920 Nokia on Full monty with EE/TMobile. Still want my FM radio so for now i will wait and use the app.

or you could just get a small cheap one of those tiny portable radios, they don't cost much and carry that too?

Or take the old phone? i imagine, though I'm not totally certain, that the radio would still work even without a SIM card inserted. If not put a disused SIM in

    Thanks everyone!

I was thinking of getting the Nokia 920. This may be a stupid question, but if I get one now will the update work on it when it happens? Or will it only be on brand new handsets? Thanks!

On my last phone (HTC Desire HD brilliant) and my current phone (iphone 4s hmmm) I just use TuneIn Radio from the App Store or Google play. Wonderful for Radio 2, Five Live, TMS on Radio 4 long wave etc

Couldn't say how much data it uses exactly as I never counted it, plus sometimes my useage will be free on wifi if using it at home at night to listen to cricket ;)

When windows or nokia rolls out the update, it will work for all windows phone 8's (this includes 920,820 etc)

I have the yellow 920 (love it) for now i use the 'Tunein radio' app.

The good thing is that you don't need a pc to update, but it is advisable that you use wifi when you are updateing.

Some bluetooth headsets come with FM radio built in.

One of my friends has this one:
