Comfy Flipflops

Hi all,

I've got a trip to Rome coming up and am looking for some comfy sandels/flipflops to wear whilst walking round the city.

I've got my eye on some merrell flipflops on Yook.com, but at £40 I'm reluctant to shell out yet.

Anyone got any recommendations on shoes that wont break the bank but will keep my feet from hurting on those cobbly streets.

Thanks!
 Mini me due March 2014

The only flip flop I've ever found is really comfy is the fit flop brand. Can't say their fitness claims work but they're excellent and really comfy even on long walks. The toe post doesn't rub either and they're moulded a little like birkenstocks.

Flyflot sandals. Very, very comfortable. Get ones with a heel strap is my advice if you are walking on cobbles. I like the ones with adjustable straps as my feet get bigger when I am in a hot climate and then revert to normal in chilly Britain.

Fitflops. Nothing beats them in my opinion. I have 3 pairs and wear them all the time. I couldn't go on holiday without them. I have lovely sparkly ones to wear with more dressy outfits too. I get mine from https://www.shoetique.co.uk they usually have some on sale at reduced prices. These are my favourites at the moment, http://www.shoetique.co.uk/womens-c1/sandals-c8/fitflop-sandals-fitflop-electra-pewter-p244

Usually next day delivery too, fantastic customer service.

Fitflops. They are the comfiest flip flops for walking in. I get mine in the autumn on-line sales for the following year - that doesn't help you now, I know, but if you are not too fussy about the style it is worth a search for any last seasons styles (the soles are the same whatever the style and that's what counts)

EDIT: Check out Amazon for deals

    I've been Money Tipped!
Personally I second the advice to go with sandals, rather than flip flops.

Another vote for Fitflops, they're so comfy, but do wear them in before you go, they can make your calves ache a little when you first get them.

Otherwise I would go for Crocs flip flops, they're comfy too, and good for lots of walking.

I have Karrimor walking sandals and they are what I wear for walking about for miles in good weather. I have a dodgy ankle so if I wear flipflops of any description my ankle gets sore pretty quickly when walking.

You can get Karrimors in Sports Direct for around £10 - and if you are a shoe size 6 or less, their junior range is usually a bit cheaper and fits up to a generous size 6.

the only flip flops I can wear (without being in agony!) Are "animal" ones (the surf make) their ones with the cloth posts (not the plastic posted ones) are SO comfy and I live in them in the summer.
