I have a dog lol. Maybe I just don't live in the most friendly of places lol. Yeah well I think I'm just a wee bit bored at the minute and need to be more active and source other things to do which don't cost the earth. I like the come dine idea, actually was thinking of that myself - just have to convince some others to join in :)

I'm single too. But I have a little munchkin to keep me entertained until she's in be then I'm actually grateful of "me time". Do you have any friends that come round to yours or that you can visit? Getting out doesn't have to involve spending money getting drunk etc. I don't drink and I probably go out for a meal less than once every 3months.

I think you need to find some new friends. Are there any dogs living near you? Do you know anyone with a dog? Offer to take it a walk, you meet lots of people when dog walking, and it's free.

I'm not single but I did know a single woman who had a dog and she paid someone to walk her dog. So, walking dogs can be a little earner as well as a potential for romance a la 101 Dalmations.

know the feeling pretty well some of it I feel is self inflicted for me - I'd always been a quiet person anyway but over the years the amount of friends I've pushed away with the debt line as an excuse for not doing this and that, I also think when you don't go out fear and panic breds and so it is overcoming this "quietly" for me, even though I still can't always see friends I have now come to rely on the likes of Facebook just seeing their pics and stuff it's like having them near, the next best thing x

I keep myself going by trying new home cooked recipes made from scratch where possible as that takes up time, learning new things ok... I have some wool with good intention for crochet :D, used to like working weekends when-ever I possibly could just so I was out and it helped working alongside others who were also working, met a few people who have since become friends just through doing some casual work before now on these days

As someone said to me today, don't beat yourself up more then you need to, you do need to have a small treat every now and then

Forgive me but are you wanting to meet that special someone? if so there are a couple of dating sites out there which is free of charge to use - and I actually went to a friends registery office wedding couple of years back who met this way and their still happily together - living proof it can work obviously be careful trust your gut instinct and all that x

Just wanting to say though Your not alone and thanks for this thread
    Luv this singleton at 31!

    hey

I'm single and sick of it too. Had a v bad breakup and met rotters since and it does get me massively down.

I'm not the best at moneysaving but one thing my friends and I do which is cheap and fun is pick a series on boxset we want to see and then organise nights at one another's houses to watch a few episodes - we end up working our way through quite a few and whoever is hosting just lays on some dinner like fajitas or chilli or something.
