Well done on your cupboard-gutting! :T
I've kinda managed to get practically a whole new wardrobe in the last year and a half. My figure has changed loads so majority of my stuff wasn't fitting well anyway. My style has also changed loads and I wear 'skinny' stuffs rather than the usual big-huge-baggy-comfy stuffs!! Lastly, most of my clothes were hundreds of years old so needed renewed anyway.
Long strappy tops - try New Look or Dunnes
Enjoy the peace and quiet!! Happy Monday!

Hi Headabovewater, I have pretty much had to replace my wardrobe too as I've lost a fair bit of weight over the last 2 years (all for the good
). Its quite nice now only to have a couple of bits to choose from, much easier to see what I need to keep a look out for when I'm out and about. I really couldn't bear to keep my old office gear, I kept some of that going for years and years and it was way out of date and hanging on me.
I haven't done any job stuff today - the sun came out and I was pulled into the garden to sort it out. I did spend on a couple of primroses to add a bit of instant colour and I now have a pile of rubbish to go down the tip tomorrow.
Tomorrow I intend to:- Get some bread and pick up the boys prescription
- Job search and try and find at least one to apply for
- Take a load of stuff to the tip
- Drop the charity shop bags off
- Put the suitcases back in the loft
- Wash and change our bedding
Oh and £3 paid yesterday, £6 paid today (was meant to be 3 but I hit the wrong key).
Forgot to add, I've now been invited to a wedding this summer (close friends so we do need to make the effort). DH does need a suit but luckily in my overhaul at the weekend I found two of my lovely vintage cotton summer dresses both could be dressed up or down as needed and I have some little cardis that look cute with them. So I think I can get away with pretty but neutral shoes (which I do need a tidy pair for summer) and then borrow a bag off of friends. I will add a new pot to my savings to put a bit away for DH's suit - I've made him wear the last one for years and its way to big for him. We can always keep a look out in the charity shops too as he is quite up for vintage. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
I am all in a tizz this week. My appointment for my minor op has been fitted into a cancellation next week and in the back of my mind I was assuming I had months before I needed to think about it. So its sort of thrown me a bit off kilter. Not that its a problem just that I wasn't expecting it.
The job agency has finally got back to me - but they'll now have to wait a week before I'll be fit enough to go and see them. Other than that its been quiet on the job front really. Still checking every day though.
The garden bits are still waiting to go to the tip. I ended up on a training course for the other job and then an all day meeting this week and with that and BIL's to sort out, its zapped most of my time. I don't really know how I fitted in a job around it all
I did escape for a couple of hours yesterday and managed to get a lovely pair of grey per un* linen trousers in a charity shop and a cotton blousey vest top thing that matches perfectly
Today I need to:- Get off my butt and get moving this morning
- Clear up the kitchen
- Recycling/rubbish
- Wash & dry youngest bedding
- Get out somewhere and enjoy the sunshine

I dunno about you, but I'm a worrier!
The less notice and time I have to stress/worry about things like that the better!
:T to your outfit! Nice one!
Hope you had a fab weekend! Back to Monday again already

Aw sore week! Well body wise if not so money wise! Nose looks like I've been out with the rugby team but its not a nose job honest! I did get on really well with the surgery luckily so I can't complain but I could have done without it. Thought I was doing really well on Wednesday morning, jumped out of bed without a care in the world and then fell down stairs - ended up grazes and bruises everywhere!
So after a week of being a wimp - I took some of the redundancy money and paid a few easy bills off completely. Gives me a little space and also takes my emergency fund down to acceptable in terms of benefits if I need to take this route. To be honest I really, really don't want to and am so against it. I am so used to working all my life and caring for myself that I just can't accept I might need a little help. Sometimes I know I shouldn't be so bl**dy minded. But then again if I wasn't we would have drowned long before now.... And I do sometimes wonder if I couldn't just let us drown and just see what happens.... but I won't because that's just not me.
Heck, I'm rambling tonight. So, everything paid and completely up to date. Getting to head in the sand stage where I don't want to look how long for though
I have had a few thoughts for once about what I am actually going to do. Realistically and without sounding like a stuck up cow, I am too qualified for the part-time admin jobs locally and to be fair I don't really want the ones with office career opportunities. Its quite a hard fact to face because that's my comfort blanket and something I can do easily and very well.
So for now I am looking into going into another area. I am going to have to stick my head into a different pile of sand - but needs must, I've a household to finance.
Anyway, enough of my anaesthetic rambles, Pen

Chaos today here as usual and loads of family running around to do this afternoon (which I could probably do without!). Had a sleepover here last night and it was surprisingly quiet.
Both boys bedding and rooms now blitzed, bathroom and towels done and everything drying nicely on the line. Just need to find one of the boys towels that seems to have disappeared. When we had the flood a couple of years ago most of our towels had to be ditched and we only got a couple of replacements each. I think I was being a bit hopeful where the boys are concerned and might have to get a couple extras in (more money). Plus we also seem to have lost some pillow cases etc and the youngest wasn't too pleased last night when his mate had to have flowery bedding to sleep in!
I have spent a fortune on groceries this week so I need to get creative again to last until next weekend. We have plenty in so it should be ok, if I can keep the boys from the kitchen
Tomorrow's jobs;- Job search and try and find a couple to apply for
- Blitz our bedroom
- Finishing ironing
- Empty airing cupboard to see if missing towel and bedding are there
- Trip to the tip with more garden rubbish
Have a nice Sunday

Result - airing cupboard emptied, missing towel found. One less thing to replace

Change of plan today - decorated the upstairs hallway instead, a nice duck egg blue colour (or green according to the boys). Looks nice, either way.
Have another 'job meeting' on Friday morning (going off the 'i' word at the moment - its starting to install dread into me!). But there wasn't anything going to apply for today.
I have school meetings tomorrow and Wednesday, both of which I think both teachers and myself would rather be doing something different.
Hopefully by Thursday I will get a bit of brain space to gather my thoughts before Friday. At least I can still fit into my suit.
Moneywise - we are now skint until the weekend, but the kitchen is full and there is nothing outstanding before then. Oh and I have a bit of petrol to get to the meeting. Can't moan, I haven't had to hit an overdraft or credit card yet and I am still chipping away at it, even though the amounts are tiny.
Lets hope that yellow thing in the sky stays out to play this week - it makes such a difference in my mood.
Have a nice Monday all xThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

Small steps but great that you haven't had to touch cc or od :T:D
Yellow ball still in sky today, surrounded by lots of blue! Not too much white/grey stuffs thankfully! Hope it lasts! I agree that it does lift moods!
