Indeed, and if the don't receive them you will likely receive reminders (cynically wonder why!).
Providing your claim forms reach the DWP before current claim ends there will be no issues in continuing the claim. There may be a short period where the existing claim payments stop and the renewal being introduced, if this does happen arrears payments will apply.

We obviously have differing perspectives on how this should be progressed so we'll agree to disagree on this occasion :)

Ohreally, I am not disagreeing with you at all - I wasn't aware that if I didn't reapply within their allowed given time frame of returning the forms that I would be sent a reminder. It states on the letter accompanied be the forms to reapply that if they were not returned in time the claim would not go ahead. I would be too scared not to conform to their rule just incase - you obviously know different ;)

I wasn't having a dig at you at all and am sorry if you took it that way. It wasn't a difference of perspective I was just complying to their request in the time frame given.

As claims can take weeks to process, I woudl advise that people complete the renewal forms as soon as they recieve them from the DWP.

It also gives you time to contact the CAB etc., if you need help to do the forms.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

My view is that it's not a good move submitting a renewal as quickly as you did (not everyone will agree). One reason being they can assess your claim on receipt of your claim pack resulting in the imediate withdrawal of your current award - it does not have to run until Aug 07.
My advice would be do nothing, let your claim progress without further contact from yourself...no point in bringing the situation to their attention before it needs to.
You won't be time barred providing you lodge an appeal within the specified timeframe.

They can only withdraw benefit if there has been a relevant change of circumstances since the last decision was made.

A pure difference of opinion between the decision maker who made the last decision to award and the one that looks at the renewal is not a good enough reason to withdraw benefit early.

If this ever does happens it will be awarded back at appeal up until at least the original end date and so it should be pointed out in the appeal letter that they did not have sufficient grounds to end benefit early.
