Help! Washing machine disaster.

Options
I am completely useless. I thought I'd do some washing for my mum, so I did three loads of washing, pegged them all on the line, then realised I didnt use detergent I used 2 different fabric softeners on all of the washing. So I went to go rewash the first load of washing, and put detergent and fabric softener in the wrong slots, I haven't turned it on as I realised what I did too late.

What do I do? I've never done this before and I've done plenty of loads of washing! My mum and dad have gone to some rural place for the day and my mums forgotten her phone .. I've got a couple of hours.. what do I do!

Does the drawer where you put the washing powder/softner pull out? You could empty it and start again?

No, it just pulls to the side but as soon as you put it in it goes down these holes..

I don't know what to suggest then. I can't see it causing any major damage to the machine though if you just switch it on and let it run its cycle. One good point is your clothes are going to smell amazing :D

It really doesn't matter, all gets let into the machine at the same time anyway! Just turn it on and go about your business :)

You can run the cyle as normal. It wont make any difference to the wash that you have put the detergent and softener in the wrong slots.

I also had visions of you wading round in your wellies, flooded out and trying to mop up. Glad to hear it is not that bad :)
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

But won't the fabric softener be released in the wash, and the detergent in the rinse?

Yes, it will so just set the machine to do an additional rinse and spin once it's finished.
