+20122000020 txt from egypt????

Dont know if anyone else has had one of these funny texts but i got one today with the title 'Hi there! :-)' and it aslo came up as a circular globe icon instead of the normal envelope one.
I have no idea what its about or who its from all i know is, is that its from egypt as when i put in the above number in a google search it is an egypt message centre number. Quite what that implies im not sure but the actual content of the message is just a www address, quite a long one which im not prepared to visit as ive heard rumours of people getting texts with links and if you visit them (im assuming from your phone) then you get charged a lot. Wether thats true i done know but im not prepared to try it.
So anyone else had experience of these or what they are about?
