you dumbasses! hheetetettete lllloooooooovveeeee mmeeeeeee mikeeeee!

How is this relevant? This seems a rather immature posting.

As for other opinions being welcome or not you clearly are not reading the replies properly. I have repeatedly said you are welcome to an opinion. The point is the vaste majority of your postings both on this thread and elsewhere are aggressive and judgemental. THAT is not welcome.

Coming in and making such statements about the board itself is not helpful and will only serve to stir up aggression. Your continued opinionating without taking into account any of the posts put on here by those who have gone through serious debt simply marks YOU out as the one in the wrong. Please read posts properly and cease your aggressive and judgemental behaviour.

Been reported twice by me and once by someone else. One would presume that deleting ones own posts puts the nail in the coffin on that ID.

If they've deleted the posts themselves, they've wasted their time. The offensive content was copied into posts that were made in response, so they'll still be available to the Board Guides to read.
  • Looks like I missed UltraViolets postings - I'm not going to take any notice of that Troll! My relationship is not in question here... but for your information everything else apart from this is great.

Thanks for your help to all who have replied so far. I have spoken to my OH about the BR and he said that he couldn't tell me as he was scared that I would leave him. The debts are mainly unpaid income tax as he was self employed and debts which he had ammassed after his split from his wife 4 years ago. The Inland Revenue had requested that he was made BR as he had not paid his tax bill.

I just really wanted some information on what teh procedure was from people who have gone through it before. Does he have to have some kind of meeting with a receiver? I don't think he has that's all and another letter has come through today saying that he has to pay some money within 48hours or bailiffs will be coming. I don't know if this something that could have been avoided if he had gone to this meeting or if the court does not know that he has been made BR.

It's all so confusing, the fact that he is not here throughout the week is difficult too as it means we can't talk.

Have a peep here for some very basic but useful facts...

  • Thanks Mike - I've had a look and that is a great help and explains a lot.

Good to hear. It'll be good if you know a few debt/BR facts before next weekend so that you won't be as worried (the greatest fear being the fear of the unknown) about the things that you hear.

Take care. Adversity only makes you stronger as a couple provided you do work together. It is hard but it is how you get through the hard times that can bring you together.

Agree with AlanD, get informed and that will help, the fact that you have spoken to him, he's talked a bit and not run away will make it so much better for you both - sorry if that sounds a bit fluffy but I believe it.

has he made been made bankrupt formally yet - you said you are not sure if he has seen the official receiver - you could always check by going onto the insolvency website and logging in his name and local court/area - i check it weekly to see if my own situation has changed and they haven't told me yet as waiting for discharge

Sorry if that seems like prying, only a suggestion

Good luck and what a pity the troll got through - good for you for ignoring IT

Thanks Jobby I've found him on there and it has put a new light onto things for me. Looks as though he hasn't been to see the OR yet and his discharge has been suspended indefinitelty because of this.

Of course I am going to stick by him and I'm going to make him get this sorted once and for all. Like they say these things can only make our relationship stronger.
