    Morning Halight and all,

Ive just got up with the girls. I notice 'youngest' didnt come home last night. He did warn me he might be staying at his friends house which gives me the perfect oportunity to clean his room and air it.

forever saving so glad your friends funeral went so well. I dont blame you about not looking into the open coffin though. My Mother wanted an open coffin on the day of my daughters funeral. I still have such an awful memory of how she looked. (Mind you, the hospital robbing her of her brain without permission wouldnt have helped). Apart from the first few hours after i die, i dont want any of my family to see me dead. I dont want them to see what ive seen and apart from my daughter in South Africa who is used to death and dead people. I dont think the rest of my family could cope with it and would be haunted by what they have seen, just like i am.

Talking about my Daughter in South Africa, the paperwork is going through for adopting 'Soldier'. She's not very happy, she's got to create a family tree as part of the paperwork on her side of the family. She needs full names, dates of birth of our side of the family. I can go back 3 generations on my side of the family but its as much as i can do to remember my ex's birthday. I certainly cant remember his sisters DOB or his Mothers DOB. My exs Father died whilst my ex was in his teens and theres no way i know that sort of information. It looks like she is going to have to contact him.

Lucy dog is so much better today. Thoroughly cleaned the carpet yesterday. I'd like to do the upstairs carpets too but its such a big job.

Shopping today. The cupboards are bare.

Hubby wants to change the caravan so we might look at a few later. He wants something 23ft instead of 26ft (cause he has to pay for extra length on the storage) and single axle (as twin axle makes the insurance higher). I am all for selling it completely as we dont use it now and i doubt if we will use it then.

Halight I havent even thought about sewing seeds yet. Theres still a little snow on the ground. I'm only going to sew a few beans anyway as everyone moans if i give them salad and i'm not very successful with potatoes or carrots. I hope your feathered friends are well.

nmlc i dread shopping every week. Every week hubby moans ive spent too much but then moans when we get home that theres nothing to eat. Ive been given specific instructions this week. No puddings, no treats, no extras. I'm not going to complain but i wonder if he will when i stick to his words? Ive cleaned the fridge out and i'm thinking of getting dressed.... only thinking about it mind.:rotfl:

    Morning all!
WM number 2 of 3 is nearly finished, will all go out for a blow as the sun is shining, hopefully will be mostly dry for a change!
Will head to mr m's this morning for a top up, then take ds for his scan this afternoon, just about to look for directions as am not sure of the roads around this hospital, I have never been to it, must be the only one in Glasgow I have avoided over the years!
HALIGHT- keep your chin up, I know you always come over as upbeat and keep yourself busy, but maybe its time to slow down a little, you will need to have your strength to get over your surgery when it happens!
Right, better get dressed and hang the washing out, isn't it amazing how something so ordinary puts a smile on my face!!!!
    Have a good day all!
    RIP Iain

Headlight - I would just do what you would normally do at this time of year (although it's all a bit late), I'm sure your family will look after your veggies if you do go into hospital.
FS - I don't blame you for not wanting to see your friend yesterday, I saw my DH in the funeral parlour and really wish I hadn't.

WM on second load, the weather is glorious although still cold and there has been a sharp frost. The house has been well aired this week as the sun has been shining and the weather so dry.

Going to cycle to the library today, DD has gone off to work and is then going to an engagement party tonight so I wont see her till tomorrow, need to keep busy.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX

    Morning All,

Halight sleep eluding me at 2.30 this morning. Up making a cuppa nd some oatcakes and pate:rotfl: Went back to sleep at about 4 then didn't wake until 7.30. I was going to have a "duvet day" but had no bread or fruit, so I've just been out on my scooter across the road to get some. I have planted some seeds, but it's so cold I think I'll wait a bit longer.

OT man, Roger came yesterday. Brought me a stool, a trolley and and a brand new bath lift:T Very pleased with them all.

Approved foods order came, and then I found most of it was for DD:rotfl:She is better now. On the pills and SIL is looking after her.

Had some mash left from the casserole the other night so opened a tin of tuna and made fishcakes for dinner tonight.

    (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) for Molly41

Doing a bit of pottering today. Hope you all have a good day!

    Good morning all.
A bit warmer here today. 18.8C in the hall, I do not think I will need to boost the CH today. Horay!.

Waiting for postie to turn up about lunch time to see if he has my new battry for my kindle.
The kindle will not charge any more, so I prised the back off to see what battry it takes.

Today I am having a go at the puzzles in Take a break spring 3. Since deciding not to buy many magazines I have to make the most of the few I have = in doing the puzzles as well as reading the stories.

Craft = crocheting a cushion cover from the scraps of wool I have from left over projects.

We are not doing much gardening as waiting for warmer weather.
We have talked about buying x3 tomato plants. Not growing from seed as we do not need quantity.

Dinner = will be getting something out of the freezer. We have potatoes and fresh veg. I have x2 small apples to snack on during the day. Home made coconut cake for those that want it.

Halight, we found the only successful way to grow carrots was to grow the speedy ones in tubs. The aren't very speedy lol, but at least they grow a little.

Afternoon now, I have spent the morning on and off arguing with Hombase. There web site kept crashing on me.

On trying to make our home nicer. Cough, cough! I have ordered a new dinning room set = table and chairs.
Oh and I saw just what we wanted in someone else's home when visiting last week.
I went through Quidco and also 20% code for furniture this weekend. Gave in my Necter card number when prompted. Feeling Chuffed.

The table extends from 4 to 8 people. Just what we need for the occasions when we invite extended family around.
Just have to wait 8 days for delivery now.

Lovely day here bright and I have even felt a little warmth from the sun :D

I have spent most of the day pottering in the garden and have got all of my seeds in propagators and DH is working on the new raised beds.

FS I am glad that yesterday went well. I didn't go to see either of my parents in the chapel of rest, I wanted my memories of them to be of when they were alive.

good advice.........I am afraid Homebase is now another shady company on my boycott list see why here:
