Excel parking charge notice

Hi I'm new on here, hoping you can help me please?
I parked at Peel Centre Stockport on 22/03 went to the excel parking machine, entered my reg no. And paid £1 for 2 hours. It accepted the reg and my money and when I pressed the green button it did not give me a ticket. Neither would it refund my money. I had no other change on me so I risked it and went shopping, returning half an hour later. They now have ANPR cameras.
Today I received a charge notice which from what I have read on here I should probably just ignore.

I just wondered if it makes any difference if I've had a charge notice from them before? I made a genuine mistake a couple of years ago in the same carpark and forgot to get a ticket. I owned up and paid the fine. Does this affect anything as they may already hold information on me?

You paid a scam invoice before :eek:

This is not a fine at all, just a piece of unenforceable junk that can either be ignored completely, or to appeal it to the scammers then when they refuse to cancel, go to popla and get it won there.

Ignore or appeal, that's your choice - and if you appeal you must also follow their rejection with a strong appeal to POLA with our help.

You can search the forum for the keyword 'Peel' and find loads and loads of threads recently. Just click back one click to the parking forum thread index again (see my signature if not sure where to click). Then just use the button top right just above the threads 'search this forum' put in 'Peel' and change the default to 'show posts' (not 'show threads' which is unhelpful IMHO). Hey presto lots of Peel Centre threads and advice already given, very recently too in some cases.

the peel centre is my patch, i spend loads of time there educating unsuspecting motorists about this SCAM and the SCUM known as excel,,simply ignore and all the threat o grams that you will recieve from roxburghe/graham white,,both part of said SCAM,,you do have a choice to apeal to popla,but its up to you,sorry i missed you when preaching there re this lot of cowboys/scammers,come back as often as you like for reassurance and dont respond to anyone who sends you a pm with low post count,as the SCUMexcel check this forum daily and it may be them in disguise,,obviously if a high post count then responding is up to you, DO NOT worry about threat o grams as they equate to no more than loo paper, despite what they threaten.relax, do not worry.incidentally the genuine ticket is called a PENALTY charge notice,,you do not have that only a FAKE/PRETEND one from the scammers.guess where ime going now,,oh yes, expel at the peel centre here i come.
