I always said I wouldn't use reins. Then we had our children!! They've been such a help to us. They've meant that we didn't have to get a double buggy, as No.1 son can be kept close by while I'm pushing No.1 daughter in the pushchair.0

I thought they had gone out of fashion as I don't see as many of them as I did years ago. I used them, they kept me sane and I knew that they were safe even if my attention wandered!0

fair call, I think I used the wrong word there! I'll fix......
sounds like they're a good idea... if we ever have kids definitely something to consider.0 -

I was told it was because it looked similar to tying up an animal and that children weren't dogs. I responded that I used them because I hadn't yet trained my toddler to walk to heel yet. I did go on to train all my kids to walk to heel btw, and to stop on command when I clicked my fingers so perhaps the person wasn't far wrong saying I was treating my son like an animal? Worked for me though!

We have used the bushbaby minipack for ours as they all have hypermobilility and have figured out how to escape from the wrist links very quickly. I think the mini packs are brilliant as a favourite toy or book can easily be stowed in it.

The only issue I have is that kids may use it as an opportunity to tie strangers up if they start running around in a crowd

They don't look that aesthetically pleasing but practically they work a charm

I have a little monkey
we have the cute goldbug monkey toy/backpack reins. He loves the monkey and I know he's safe with them on and he looks adorable in them
I also look after a dog and the prospect of a lead in one hand a toddler hand in the other is just  0
