Poo bags

I've just got a rescue dog from the RSPCA (she's lovely:j). Any ideas on what I can use for poo bags when out and about. Ideally I don't want to buy poo bags (I'm trying to be frugal). Bread bags? Supermarket bags?

Nappy sacks which are very cheap.

I agree. 35p for 300 poos...that's frugal! And they smell nice too (the bags, I mean)

I would also recommend one of these. Not particularly cheap, but save you walking around with a smelly bag in your hand (because they always manage to 'perform' as far away from a bin as possible )

I use sainsburys basics nappy sacks, 15p for 100.

I just get the poo bags from Home Bargains at 89p for 100, or you can get 150 thinner ones from pound shops.

Nappy sacks are the usual cheap alternative - but as they're thinner and I don't particularly want to risk goldfinger moments I tend to just buy poo bags when they're on special.

That's why I stopped using nappy sacks. Hardly any pressure and they split. Not nice having warm dog poo on your hands!

The best I've found are from Pets at Home - they are thick -lol. The local pet store sells poop bags on a long roll - they are so thin ( and pale light blue so a bit see through) and you have to be sooo carefull tearing one off not the snag the bag!

defo use bread bags, any small carrier bags you get when shopping, the bags some junk mail come in work too as well as the bags you put loose veg in at the supermarket and of course normal plastic carrier bags work.

I use Tesco basics and I've never had one split, even with a 60kg dog.
