Yeah, I noticed that 2.5gb is for the os software. Annoying thing is that I think i'd use about 18-20gb so essentially would waste a lot of the 32gb space. However, as with my laptop, i really can't be doing with how slow it will run when I am at 90-95% capacity of the 16gb version.

I just got an ipad mini 32gb.Glad i went for the bigger memory.16gb is not a lot now with the apps & games you can get.Even 32 is getting short of space with my films etc.0

There will be no difference between them - just how much you can store! Many people will get them and never get anywhere near using their capacity.0

I know this, obviously. Just talking about the running speed of the phone when you get near capacity. As I've found with my laptop as soon as I'm nearly at its max it starts to run very slowly.
I agree with you, as I say, I'd probably use 18-20 which seems like a big waste but, with the 16, I'd have to cull 2-4gb and be constantly be at the max for 2 years.0 -
Ive just had the 16mb and I've got 9.9 left.. I;ve got about 25 apps, 32 albums and about 12 pictures. I had a BlackBerry Curve before which was full at 170 songs and 100 pictures so I'm quite happy with the 16...*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
