    Morning all!

Thanks Ally for taking the time to post all of the links.
Another day off work today for me and still getting the house sorted - spring cleaning is hard work!

So today so far I have...
    • Taken the dog to the park
    • Hoovered upstairs
    • Cleaned the kitchen window
    • Bleached the kitchen bin
    • Done the bins and recycling
    • Emptied and hoovered out the bedroom furniture that the houseclearing man will hopefully want
    • Upgraded mobile phone and plan for no more money:)
    • Sent for phone recycling pack (will only get £10 but better than nothing)
    • Phoned sky and got some ideas for fixing the dodgy box and got a quote for a new one if it doesn't work
    • Phoned man about cleaning conservatory roof
    • Transferred savings from rubbish account into ISA
    And still to do....
    • Clean insides of upstairs windows
    • Clean wooden blinds
    • Tidy out bathroom cabinet
    • Mark a set of books :(
    • Write 3 lessons
    • Look for a handyman ad in the local shop
    • Wait for the house clearance man to call
    • Check bank
    • Order new bedroom furniture
    • Have a LSD
    • Take dog for nice long walk in the sunshine
    That's enough for today.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello Everyone

Well thank god but the tide has turned again on trade. I have had a really good day. I think the weather helps as people want to come out.

    So me today.

    1) Gave husband a stern look when he mentioned cash points ;)
    2) Used up a bag full of 5ps in a self service machine
    3) Reviewed all banking.
    4) Dinner from stores tonight
    5) 2.5 wks till husband gets paid
    6) Helped another mum out with arranging after school pick ups, she may well return the favour in time, always good to have a favour in the bank :)
    7) Unfortunately drew a blank on organising cheaper housing insurance for a property I own but dont live in (BTL) it was underpinned a few years ago and sadly we just have to keep paying the fee the original insurer set. Damn.

Well, must crack on, tonnes to do, and was supposed to do some VAT prep today but being so busy it didnt happen. Swings and roundabouts.

Good luck to everyone in their MSE over the weekend.

    Afternoon penny-savers,
    Busy day so far:
    *Done surveys.
*Re-opened old complaint with Toluna re a pet-feeding study I did for a whole week, then they didn't pay me my £10 voucher as they said I 'wasn't elligible for the survey'. Eh?? Even thought they invited me to both stages & sent me a daily link to fill in the online diary? Had about given up on getting a resolution, then got an email from their customers services out of the blue yesterday inviting me to reopen it as they know a lot of people received poor service & didn't get their complaints dealt with. Hmmm. Let's see what happens this time!
*Did Big Weekly Clean....not early enough for hoovering on Economy 7, but all done as always on minimal products (1 bottle of Stardrops lasts me a year).
*Pulled our Spring rhubarb. Freezing cold here today but when I lifted the forcing crock off & saw those lime green leaves & the bright gorgeous pink of the stems, I couldn't help feel Spring might be on its way.......blanched & froze 2lbs.
*Sowed beetroot, chard & more flower seeds. (All free seeds, plus used old plastic meat trays for sowing into & labels made from cut-up spread tubs).
*Ate last bag of free crisps I was sent to test.
*Sent off for free moisturiser. It's £1-90 p&p but free p&p if I buy any other product. Am short on toner so bought that - £4-50 - so that's a toner & a moisturiser for £4-50. I didn't think that was bad.
    Still to do:
*Meal plans up to the end of April
*Await return of Mr f who has taken our car in for its service today. He hadn't heard anything by lunchtime & was hoping it's no news is good news.....I hope so too, or might be updating budgets later!
That's it for me today - off to assess freezer contents for those meal plans!

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
