george osbourne parking a disabled bay

Who cares? He should be able to park as he needs to.
What is the worst thing that could happen to him? He could get a PCN for a few pounds - the government would just pay it or send them a formal letter.
It's clear that he is at risk and does need to be quick and close to where he needs to be.
In any event he is exempt from On-Street parking regulations, and I'm sure the land owners don't mind him parking like this.
The disabled person waiting for the space, could simply use the next one, or wait a few moments.
If others use them often and stop you from doing so - then complain and get it sorted, I fail to see how this helps anyone?
I support him and the many other Police vehicles and officials that use these bays. It's very simple the fact that they may need to leave quickly! Get over it people.0 -
Polite people utterly avoid disabled spaces. It might be somewhat trivial but it shows total arrogance & contempt.
I hope he kept his receipt for his happy meal, wonder what toy he got? I do hope it was a working calculator0 -
Polite people don't blame passengers for a driver's error. Otherwise surely Chris Huhne could have used that excuse? "Yeah OK it was me driving but she told me to so it's her fault" :rotfl:Polite people utterly avoid disabled spaces. It might be somewhat trivial but it shows total arrogance & contempt.

When the passenger is the employer of the driver and the treasurer of the country to boot, he should have instructed him to park in a legitimate bay.
From time to time I have the privilege of being chauffeured round, we travel round at all odd hours of day and night, we would never park in a disabled bay, if we did the driver would be told to move, and would get a bo**ocking I have seen it first hand,
At the end of the day the driver works for us, and some of our number in the car are egotistical musicians and would not dream of doing it0 -
Did you keep an eye on the speedometer too to make sure he never exceeded the speed limit? Did you breathalyse him to make sure he wasn't drunk? When the passenger is the employer of the driver and the treasurer of the country to boot, he should have instructed him to park in a legitimate bay.

Some people employ a chauffeur so someone else can worry about the road. Maybe the same applies to those who employ a taxi to get around?
Yeah, if Diana had been as conscientious as you she might still be alive. You are an inspiration to us all.At the end of the day the driver works for us, and some of our number in the car are egotistical musicians and would not dream of doing it0 -
