Opened an ISA with no deposit, can I pay in elsewhere?

Quick question - I opened an ISA for this tax year last November, but never got round to paying in to it, and now it's too late.
Can I transfer my allowance into my ISA from 2011/12 (which is still accepting deposits), or am I not able to open one ISA and pay into another in one year?
All help appreciated!

If you paid £0 into the one you open last November, and you haven't used any of your allowance in any other ISA, you are free to use your allowance wherever you feel like. However tomorrow is the last day of the tax year so you'd need to make sure it goes via faster payments.0

Thanks for the advice! The old ISA is with the same provider as my other account, so the transfer will happen immediately - and I can transfer over to a new (better rate!) ISA in 2013/14.
Really appreciated

Yes. I did this last year - opened an AA ISA at 3.5% but didn't deposit anything. I then opened a Nationwide Flexclusive ISA at 4.25%, deposited into there, and closed the AA account.0
